Upon recognizing the inconvenient hypocrisy of being proponents of “hard religion” that recognize the Ten Commandments as being deeply important who nevertheless work seven days/week, we decided our family needed to begin honoring the sabbath. What ensued was a week of arguing about what the sabbath should actually entail, with me (Simone) getting hyperfocused on the letter of the law and Malcolm being hyperfocused on the spirit of the law, as it were. We thought it would be fun to hash out some of this discussion (at this point, already in its more mature stages) on a weekend episode of our podcast, so here it is!
