Today on Based Camp, Simone shares with Malcolm (and y’all!) a rabbit hole she fell down regarding online ads by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It started with discussion about LDS YouTube ads running in Europe and concluded in Simone surrendering her ancestors to FamilySearch.org for posthumous baptism.

Is the LDS church advertising online in pursuit of the impressive customer lifetime value of a convert (10% of all pre-tax earnings) or of souls to convert, be they alive or dead?
